Platanias is a coastal settlement of incomparable beauty built on the southeastern coast of Magnesia peninsula. Platanias port is the largest fishing port of the prefecture, concentrating drifter boats and that it the reasons why its taverns are famous from fresh fish and delicious seafood. Access from Glafkos is performed by car or by bus (10 km.), on foot through trails or on foot at 0,6 km. from Mikro.
Mikro is a beautiful beach which is ideal for tranquility and relaxation, which disposes of clean turquoise waters and a golden beach with fine sand and pebbles. The beautiful natural environment is complemented by the various rocks around the sea. Mikro is the seaport of Lafkos at the Aegean Sea side, is located 600 m. from Platanias and access is done on foot from Platanias or by car from Lafkos (9 km.).
